The Linux Professional Institute (LPI), a non-profit organization, has created a certification that is not vendor specific. That means that it is not tied to Red Hat, Caldera, SuSE, or any other single Linux distribution or offering.

You must have an active LPIC-1 to receive the LPIC-2.
